"fn" stands for function, and it lets you use the functions that are located in blue font at the top of your keyboard(on the f keys and delete and such) such are out and brightness levels, etc.

The JavaScript in the head element to run immediately. This freezes the loading of the rest of the page while the JavaScript executes. The element with the id attribute of hour1 entered the DOM yet so when your script reaches that point it looks to the DOM for the element but find it because the page fully loaded yet and returns null.
One solution would be to put your script tag just before the closing body tag so that the page has loaded before the script to do its thing.

I would think twice before pursuing a career as as a nurse. Nursing can be a very stressful field–long hours, etc. Sure, the job may be exciting at first, but soon grow tired of the duties because successful nurses possess passion, patience, and commitment regardless of title.
reason for wanting to be a nurse necessarily bad. There are a variety of reasons why people choose career paths. Money, fame, authority…the one thing to consider is you may regret your reasoning.

I understand what you are saying, but the 5% rule is not really the key issue.
Historically – say company A bought company B, and company B had at some time acquired a 3% stake in company C.
Company A would that, and most likely sell the position, as it would not be the trouble.
Also when you say investment firm, that is a bit generic. Are you saying non-bank finance companies, brokerages, investment banks.
As for the unidentified, that may be a moot point as so many banks and investment firms have in one way or another merged.
Also because bank mergers are more regulated than other mergers that 5% rule does not come into play.
Where if medium size restaurant company wanted to buy another medium size restrauant company they may want to acquire 4.9% stake hold that, and then announce a tender offer.
That same scenario does not really hold for banks, as there are no "hostile" take overs in banking and insurance.
