Guppies, platys, mollies, and swordtails have grow to be favorites in the aquarium hobby. These fish are easy to care for, are brightly colored, and simple to breed. Right here we will appear at how to care for these fish, as properly as how to freeze dried care for their offspring.

Guppies

The guppy, or fancy guppy (Poecilia reticulata) grows to five cm, with males getting considerably much more colorful than the females. Guppies are peaceful neighborhood fish.

Although originally from South America, most guppies obtainable for sale are from Asia. This implies they freeze dried http://survival-warehouse.com/ should be kept at greater temperatures (25-29º C), and have a bit of aquarium salt (one tbsp. for each and every 5 gallons) added to their tank in order to remain healthful.

Hi! :)

I have 20g tank thats stocked with Cories, Guppies, and Neons. I have never had Gouramis, though I did look into them as I almost got them. I have never had Rams, but I did have a 150g Cichlid tank at one point.

Some other Options:

Silver Hatchetfish- They get around 3 inches, and will occupy the top of your tank.

They are commonly sold at Petco and near me.

Guppies- They grow to about 2-3 inches, and will swim mainly at the top of my tank, but unlike the Hatchets, they venture to the middle and bottom at times. Be sure to get all males, or your tank will be overrun with fry in no time!

Swordtails- These fish get 3-4 inches, swim around the top and mid levels of a tank, and come in soo many different colors and patterns, kind of like Platies.

They males with their "Swordtails" look cool too, in my opinion.

Platies- They get 2 inches, and as stated about come in a large variety of colors. not sure if they occupy a level in the tank, though I do know that very active fish.

Danios- There are many different types, and depending on the species, they range in size from 1.5 inches to 6 inches. They are schooling fish and need a group of 6 or more. Danios are extremely active, and prefer long tanks, so yours suits just fine.

Hopefully I was able to give you some ideas! Good luck with your
