There is some cheaper prices for siding and you get what you pay for, the siding comes in differant thicknesses, and the thicker the better. Colors are a little more money than just white. And the if you go with vinyl trim thats ok you can install it yourself, but if you go with aluminum trim you would need a brake to bend it, cost about 1000.00 for the metal brake. But other than that all you need is a hammer , tape measure,snips. utility knife. Hope this helps, Have fun

hey vinyl siding is really easy to install–point to remember is to leave a 14" gap at the ends and do not drive the nail up tight—leave it a little loose–to allow for expansion–darning hot weather–since you have a bi level house–you ll need 2 extension ladders, 2 ladder jacks and a walk board at least 24 ft long–now if you are afraid of height s it may not work for you–a walk board is only bout 12 " wide–and takes 2 people to move it around the house–here in Mississippi single story houses go for bout 150. 00 per square–2 story section about 300.00 per square–if you hire a contractor–make sure the clean up is included in the price–also make sure he installs 14 " Styrofoam insulation on first
